 すなわち、1-hydroxy-2-(4-methylpent-3-enyl)-anthraquinone,  1,4-dihydroxy-2-(4-methylpent-3-enyl)-anthraquinone, と 2-chloro-1,4-dihydroxy-3-(4-methylpent-3-enyl)anthraquinone であった。2つの既知のアントラキノンがゴマの根から単離された。2-(4-methylpent-3-enyl)anthraquinone (E)-2-(4-methylpenta-1,3-dienyl) anthraquinoneである。アントラキノンCは高等植物ではまれな、塩素を持ったアントラキノンである。
